Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub
On 4 February 2021, LTA awarded a contract to design and build the Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub. That announcement described a bus interchange with community and civic uses and an office tower, and said construction was expected to complete around 2027. This page repeats that official 2021 target and does not add a later completion claim.
Walking, cycling and multi-level pedestrian plans
The Planning and Urban Design Guide describes 10-minute neighbourhoods and a network of elevated, at-grade and underground pedestrian links between buildings and public transport nodes. It also describes cycling paths on both sides of streets in the new precinct, planned at 2.5 metres wide, and a car-lite target of at least 85 percent of trips by walking, cycling or riding public transport by 2035. Those figures are planning targets from the guide, not current measured mode share.
